Mealime is closing on October 21. Here's where your recipes can go.

If you've opened Mealime lately and seen a closing notice, it's real: Mealime shuts down on October 21, 2026. It has been owned by Albertsons Companies since 2021, and it's moving people to Meals Hub, a free recipe and meal-planning feature inside Albertsons' grocery apps (Safeway, Albertsons, Vons, Jewel-Osco and others). When the app closes, all personal data is deleted, and there's no export button.

What Mealime did well

It's worth being fair about why people liked it. Mealime made weeknight cooking simple: pick a few quick recipes, get a meal plan, and get one grocery list with everything already combined, plus clear step-by-step instructions for people who don't want to think too hard at 6pm. That's the loop worth replacing: decide what to cook, shop for it once, and cook without fuss.

Is Meals Hub the right move for you?

For some people, yes. If you already shop at Safeway, Albertsons, Vons or another Albertsons store, Meals Hub is run by the same team that built Mealime's recipes, it keeps you close to what you had, and it's free, which Logiciated isn't. It's a weaker fit if you live outside the US, shop somewhere else, or would rather your meal planner wasn't part of a supermarket's app.

What's different with Logiciated

Logiciated isn't a Mealime clone, and the biggest difference is worth saying up front: it isn't a built-in recipe catalog. It's built around your recipes — the ones you already cook and the ones you find — and everything else hangs off them. New accounts start with a set of starter dishes, so the planner isn't empty on day one.

  • Bring your recipes in your way: paste a link from a blog, Instagram or TikTok (with a credit back to the creator), or photograph a dish you've cooked or eaten and get back a full, structured recipe.
  • Plan and shop from them: a weekly meal planner and a shopping list generated from what you're planning to cook.
  • Cook for everyone at the table: add the people you cook for with their allergies and dietary preferences, and any recipe that may not suit someone gets a warning. Warnings are a heads-up, not a guarantee — always check ingredient labels.
  • Works in your language: recipes translate into 20 languages, with quantities kept out of translation so the amounts stay right.

Moving your Mealime recipes before October 21

Mealime's recipes are also published as web pages on mealime.com, and those pages include standard recipe data that Logiciated's link importer reads. Find a recipe you want to keep on mealime.com, copy the page's link, and paste it into Logiciated — the ingredients and method come in already structured.

Do it before October 21. Once the app closes there's no guarantee those pages stay online, and Mealime won't export your meal plans or saved recipes for you. Most people's regular rotation is a couple of dozen dishes, so it's usually an evening's work, not a weekend.

Why this won't happen to you here

Logiciated has a one-click export of your entire recipe library — real structured data you can take anywhere — because shutdowns like Mealime's and Yummly's keep happening. You're never locked in.

It runs in any web browser as a progressive web app, so there's nothing to buy per device. One subscription — US$6.99 a month, tax inclusive, after a 14-day free trial with no credit card, one plan, no upsells — covers every device you sign in on.
