1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Logiciated, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Logiciated is a personal kitchen assistant for home cooks. It does three things. It builds your private recipe library: photograph a plated dish, photograph your own handwritten or typed recipe notes, paste a link to a recipe online, or scan a packaged product's barcode, and AI extracts a structured recipe — ingredients, quantities, method, allergens, and costing.
It plans your cooking: a weekly meal planner, event planning for occasions you cook for, and a prep board for cook day. It generates shopping lists from those plans.
To be equally clear about what the Service does not do: it has no sharing, publishing, or collaboration features; no user's content is visible to any other user; it does not support importing from the pages of published cookbooks; and it is not a source or database of recipes — every recipe in your library comes from material you submit. The Service is provided on a subscription basis for personal, private and domestic use.
3. Subscriptions and Billing
Logiciated offers a single subscription plan at the price shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe (currently US$6.99 per month, tax inclusive). You can start a 14-day free trial without entering any payment details, and no charge is made during the trial. To keep using the Service after the trial ends, add a payment method; you will then be billed monthly until you cancel. If you do not add a payment method, your access ends when the trial ends, but your recipes are kept and you can still export them, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time. Only one free trial is available per person. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change takes effect for your subscription. You may cancel at any time via your account settings. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of content you create and store in your personal library (photos, recipes, notes). By uploading content, you grant Logiciated a limited license to process and store that content for the purpose of providing the Service. We do not sell your content to third parties.
Your library is private to your account. No other user can access your content through the Service, and the Service does not provide any feature for sharing or distributing your content to other users.
5. Third-Party Copyright
You are solely responsible for the material you submit to the Service. You warrant that you own, or otherwise have the right to use, anything you photograph, paste, or link — including recipe cards, notes, product labels, and third-party websites — and that you use the Service in respect of that material for your own private and domestic purposes. If you do not have the right to use particular material, do not submit it.
The Service is deliberately designed not to reproduce or distribute protected expression. Specifically:
- Extraction stores structured factual data — ingredients, quantities, temperatures, times, and the sequence of steps — which is generally regarded as factual information rather than protected expression.
- Where a cooking method is stored, the AI writes it as a new expression in its own words. Verbatim third-party text is not retained anywhere in the Service.
- Uploads identified as pages of published cookbooks are declined — the Service does not import from published cookbooks.
- Recipes imported from a link keep a visible reference back to the original source.
- Your library is private and cannot be shared or published, so nothing you store can be distributed to anyone else through the Service.
- The Service is not a database of recipes and is not a substitute for any book or website — it only processes material you submit and are entitled to use.
Logiciated does not authorise the reproduction or distribution of copyrighted works, and your library cannot be shared or published through the Service. The Service provides the safeguards described above, but responsibility for copyright compliance in what you choose to submit rests with you, and you agree to indemnify Logiciated Pty Ltd against any claim arising from material you submit in breach of this section.
Copyright law differs between countries — if you are unsure whether your use of particular material is lawful in your jurisdiction, seek independent advice before submitting it.
6. Personal Use
The Service is intended for your personal, non-commercial use. Your account, and the library it contains, is for you alone — do not share your login with others.
Earlier versions of Logiciated offered shared kitchen workspaces. Those features have been retired: the Service no longer provides any means of sharing, publishing, or distributing content to other users, and content previously shared to a kitchen is no longer accessible through the Service.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to reverse-engineer any part of it, use it for any unlawful purpose, share your account credentials with others, or upload or distribute content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
8. Allergen Information
AI-detected allergens are indicative, not authoritative; you must independently verify allergen information against ingredient labels, packaging, and where necessary a qualified professional before serving anyone with a food allergy, intolerance, or other dietary requirement.
Allergen detection is generated from the ingredient names and text you submit. It cannot account for cross-contamination, ingredient substitutions, brand-specific formulations, or how food is actually prepared, and it may be incomplete or inaccurate.
You are solely responsible for verifying allergen information before relying on it. Logiciated Pty Ltd is not responsible for any illness, injury, allergic reaction, or other harm arising from reliance on allergen information generated by the Service, or from your failure to independently verify it.
9. Limitation of Liability
Logiciated is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Logiciated shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any claims arising from third-party copyright in content you upload or share.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Victoria.
